Wasn't going to say much of anything about this, but someone told me I should anyways, late as it is.

I'll be vending at Trotcon in Columbus Ohio this coming weekend, so feel free to drop by and say hello!

Aside from the bits, I'll have a plethora of various official merch and assorted goods, as well as pins, buttons, and magnets.  Unfortunately, I won't have much of anything of the more unique handmade things I made, for a host of various reasons.

As far as cons go, be sure to stop by the Bronies for Good booth at any con you happen to make it to.  Along with the pins they sometimes sell to raise money for charity, I often slip in a extras to further the cause.  Get cool stuff and help raise money for charity!

As you have probably noticed, the bits are here!  They're done!  They're also totally awesome and up for sale!

As of right now, I'm also hoping to be a vendor at Trotcon and Bronycon, but there's no way of guaranteeing I'll be there.  If I do make the cut, you'll also be able to buy these in person.  One bit is one bit though; so none of that "one bit, two bits" nonsense.  >_>


I'd like to thank everyone who helped make this a reality!  Its pretty awesome to see an idea take shape like this.  Feel free to share the news!

It's been three and a half weeks now, and I've been notified that the bits have been minted and shipped!  I have to say, it fit quite nicely into the estimate of 2-4 weeks, unlike those cereal box offers that say two weeks but really mean four months.  

A special secret brohoof to the folks over at Osborne Coinage Co. who clearly have no idea what a brony is.  They thought it was my first name.  ^_^

I should be receiving a case or two of the shinies any day now, weighing an impressive 60+ pounds (27+ kg).  That's a lot of metal!


Expect to hear from me again any day now, with pictures of the treasure to be had!  It could even be as soon as tomorrow, depending on how good the delivery people are.

Thus far, the progress on the production of the bits has been positive!  The artwork has been submitted and approved, and pending any minor delays, the production should begin AND be finished sometime in the next 2-4 weeks.  More updates to come as the production moves forward.

In other news, several hundred people were interested in seeing contests similar to this in the future.  If this first project ends well and another nice idea floats along, I may give it a shot!  This project taught me a lot (mostly through trial and error), so another attempt at a similar project would probably go even better.  Time will tell!

Also, I managed to get a few of the official 2013 MLP calendars up on my store. bronybadges.ecrater.com/p/1688…  They're even listed below cost, so every penny covers the cost to buy and mail it to you.  If you weren't able to get one of these yourself but wanted to, this is as good of a deal as you can get!  More pin designs to come soon, and I might start tossing in some random official merch... thoughts?

I made a list, and I checked it twice.  Then I checked it a third time.  What now Santa?

After counting all of the votes, I am pleased to announce that the winner of the Equestrian Currency Contest snagged more than 21% of the total votes, beating the competition like Rainbow Dash herself would: by a lot.

I'm also pleased to say that I'm now sure to graduate!  The project has pushed me to try a lot of things, and locate a lot of areas that I need to improve if I ever want to apply myself to a business application.  Life lessons aside, I DID IT!    Thanks to everyone who lent a hoof, even if only for themselves.  Thanks so much!  That includes the haters that spammed the ballot box with silliness~

Expect updates as the project moves on yet again, and perhaps some additional edits to this journal after I get all my finals submitted (today) and can actually focus without all these deadlines.  ._.
